S and I had a long talk today. We were gossiping about T. What do you do when you like the mom (T) but can’t stand her kid? S told me T really likes me and would be really upset if I didn’t go to her kid’s party this saturday. I don’t really like her kid though. He’s a bully and has a nasty disposition. And he curses in Korean at other kids. I really don’t want B to pick up any of his nasty habits. B is a good kid. She doesn’t stop her kid from cursing and hitting other kids… how lame is that? When A was over here, he was hitting her when things weren’t going his way… B would NEVER do that. She let her own kid beat up on her. So crazy. She told me it’s because she feels bad since he was the “leader” back in korea but now that he’s here, he has a language barrier and he has to follow other kids and so he’s not adjusting well. So since he has all these new stresses, she wants to protect him and not make things worse for him so she lets him go on things O_o N doesn’t want her kid to play with A so she’s distanced herself from them. It’s sort of hard tho since N, S and I always hang out together and T has sort of attached herself to us. And our kids all hang out together. There’s no way of telling her that we don’t want her kid to hang out with ours. If she would just teach him better manners it wouldn’t be a problem.
He was so rude to me when he was over here. I was so shocked. I told squishy that I didn’t like her kid. I haven’t invited them over since then. It was only today that I found out S and N felt the same as I did (lol). Ugh… not sure what to do…
We had picnic at Knollcrest yesterday and I was freezing otherwise it would have been good. Christine told me to try out really good sushi place called ABE. I will definitely check it out. Then I asked her what was a good korean place and she’s like “Go to LA.”
Finally met Wendy, Dave’s wife – she was really nice. They have a dog called Homily (sp?) Think she’s studying to be a teacher. Also met Ben and Vera – didn’t talk much with them. Anyway I have a headache…
On a side note, I will never ever ever listen to Al again about dessert. I made chewy brownies which were delicious but because he said he liked cake brownies I made those too and it was blegh. Never doing that again.
