So I’ve decided to go back to reading classics. I was gonna read Anna Karenina but then I saw that Oprah’s book club chose another classic to pimp so I figured I’ll follow their summer schedule. It will motivate me more I think if I have some kind of deadline. So I ordered the Faulkner box set. She has these video lectures by english professors on her site to go along with the books that they chose. The first book is As I Lay Dying. The second book of the club is going to be The Sound and the Fury and the third is Light in August. Hope I survive Faulkner x I don’t think I enjoyed his writing that much the first time around but oh well I’ll try again.

My friend recced The Secret Life of Bees. Anyone second that? =P

We ate at Elephant Bar Restaurant because B got a free kid’s meal for the jog-a-thon he entered. It was pretty good stuff and cheap. I got the jambalaya – it was so good.
