Perhaps you can also change the phone?

Sh*tty week so far. Something is wrong with my compie, I can’t get past the Windows logo screen. Keeps giving me the error message in this post.
I’m just not inclined to do a repair till I save all my data (just in case). But then we tried to connect my compie hard drive to Al’s compie as a slave and Al’s compie saw the drive (G) but then said there was 0 bytes, that it couldn’t be accessed because it was raw or something. I don’t remember the exact wording. Artemis thinks it’s probably a file system corruption. It’s all over my head. I bought two Seagate hard drives because I really don’t want to be in this spot again where my OS hd dies and all my data also happens to be on the same drive. I have all these things I wanted to do this week too. Talk about crappy timing. I had to submit a budget too to the National office. I gave Cathy a hard copy but I don’t have my excel file ;_; And I did all these spreadsheets relating to the club. If I don’t get that stuff back I’m gonna have to kill someone.
Crappy thing that happened to me today. I had traffic school. I leave 45 minutes ahead of time to get to the school which is 10 minutes away and I hit crazy traffic. Al told me later it was unusually heavy because of a series of accidents on the highway. >.> I was late to school 2 freaking minutes and they wouldn’t let me in. I gave a sob story and everything and nope, the guy told me to come back saturday afternoon for a make up. I have to give up my precious weekend ;_; How evil was that state police guy. I wasted an hour just for that whole fiasco.
And we cancelled my cell phone thing today. I’m considering switching from verizon but I’m taking a look at a few sites and it doesn’t look too good for cingular and my area.
Pretty handy sites for cellphone stuff:

OMG… that’s so weird, I’m having the same problem on my desktop computer… But I think I know what caused it for me. My computer kept telling my to update (windows) and I installed all this crap and then i installed the second service pack and restarted and my computer just kept shutting down on itself. I was able to access my computer somewhat through safe-mode and I’m in the process of backing everything up.

I like verizon except I can’t get a good signal in my house O.o It drops out downstairs in a lot of spots. My sis in law is persuading me to stick with verizon though. She says *228 or something is suppose to help with that signal stuff. I’m thinking of getting your phone. You really like it? I was also looking at the Samsung a890. Any thoughts? I might have to bug you about the e815 if I do get it so that I can unlock it too.

I hate computers sometimes. I thought your compie was new.

Last year all my bad luck occurred in June. This year it’s like extending two months June-July. I count June because of the stupid traffic ticket.

Yikes.. Sounds awful.
Goggle with the phrase ‘windows can’t boot’ came up with some pages, but they mostly just contain the problem, and no solutions.
It sounds like you might have upgraded something (hardware drivers/software drivers?) and that screwed up the boot up. This link tells of a way of using DOS to retrieve your files. It is really odd that you can’t read the data on another computer as a slave… Maybe you should take it to a repair shop and try with another computer? :/ Or, you could use your new HD as master, set this problem drive as slave and copy all your important files over.
Hope everything goes well for you soon!

well.. the *228 helps by updating roaming
but unless your bsmt is THAT deep, its not really going to improve much
on the other hand, if verizon cant service your bsmt, neither will anyone else
if you want a bsmt solution, it would be installing an antennae that extends the signal in the bsmt (kinda like those antenna that ppl install on their cars except instead of putting it on the roof of the car and extending it to the vehicle interior, you’re extending it to your bsmt)
my fone rocks! (once i mod the seem file, which is the config file, kinda like system.ini)
i didnt like the samsung because of the way the camera is posed, plus i’m tired of using a korean fone and wanted a change. my last 3 fones have been samsung or lg
i can teach you to unlock the e815, its easy to do (once you have the proper usb cable in hand)

My dad and brother live up on San Bernadino Mountain. And the only thing that works up there is verizon. I know that certain phones also have a better reception (forgot what it is called on the phone) and it seems like the Motorola phones connect the best since my parents both have one and have awesome reception there. Anyways, I guess you can always ask the phone guy/girl about which phone gives the best reception. Personally I don’t like Motorola so much since i’m a samsung fan, but sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do.
