So we did end up going to Pamela’s party which I was probably overdressed for but that’s ok. It was sweltering hot that day. Our cable went out that day too. The cable guy is suppose to come over today. We met some really nice people at Pamela’s although I swear me and Al attracted all the gay guys to us. I don’t know how that happened x Although I don’t have proof, I’m pretty sure the 4 guys that we were chatting with us were gay. I have a theory though. I think it’s because we’re very city/NY-ish and gay guys tend to be that way too so it makes sense that we had a lot in common. There was Maelin, August, Eddie and Dave. I also met an interior designer Wendy. The other people I met I don’t really remember their names x Judy that I met at Pamela’s show was also there. All in all pretty cool party.

B had his swim meet that day too. He did great even if he didn’t place but considering we just started swim lessons again, I thought it was great. Even I feel inspired to learn how to swim =P I even filmed it with my Canon camera.

We went to get Al’s imported posters framed. We chose these imported italian frames – 3 framings = $580 X_x;;;;;;;
But then we saw that this other guy (Japanese) paid $1400 to frame Lawrence’s Taylor’s signed jersey. Crazy. We also went plasma tv shopping since our tv is inexplicably turning itself on and off. It’s just a matter of time before it totally dies x

We had a doctor’s appointment for the kids yesterday. It went fine but we realized we did the wrong thing for the ticks. B touched a straggly dirty mangy mutt while we were in Pompeii for some unknown reason and he didn’t tell us that his scalp was hurting until 3 days later. Apparently you’re suppose to suffocate the tick with vaseline so that it suffocates or use fire near the scalp so that it backs out. The idea being that you don’t want to leave any part of the tick inside your head. The fear is that you will contract lyme disease. The doctor told us that they don’t really have lyme disease in Italy so that wasn’t a serious worry.

Then afterwards Al and I went to the sushi bar at Maizurau Japanese Restaurant. A Korean chef named Sam served us. We had salmon, ono, uni (ugh won’t order that again – this is the second time), halibut, mackerel, tuna, clam, and this really cool thing that we’ve never had before – shrimp and tuna boats. The boats had crab, quail egg, tabasco sauce and either shrimp or tuna and something else. Was yummy. The ono was the best though.

Later on we went to Pageant of the Masters show where you get to see real life paintings including the last supper by da vinci recreated with human beings as someone narrates about the art and artist who created the original drawing and set to orchestral music. Was awesome. We had to rent binoculars because I forgot Pamela told me to bring them. That cost of rental was $8. The funny thing about the last supper is that they did NOT include the extra hand and knife as mentioned in the “Da Vinci Code” =P
