Went to a club event today. Over 1000 members from Southern california went. We brought 11 people. Was pretty cool even though it lasted all day – I’m beat. By the end I was like, hurry it up. They had so many raffles going on. I put most of my raffle tickets in for the minature Cadillac escalade – so cute. Didn’t win of course. But two of our members won. Leah won cash – $750. She only put 2 tickets in ($1 for each ticket). So cool. Lisa also won a gift basket worth $2000 including botox treatments lol. I don’t know how many tickets she put in but it was probably worth it. It was called a “giving tree” and attached had all these gift cards to all the major department stores and regular stores. Definitely worth it. Wish I had known about that tree, I would have put a raffle ticket in for that. I was just too lazy to look at each gift basket. There must have been over 80 and it was a madhouse so I just didn’t want to deal.

Tomorrow is a busy day too, Al is gonna play scramble golf with Jason in the morning and then he’s going to meet me at Mary’s for the Superbowl “party”. I think us girls are just going to play poker – I’ll probably get fleeced – I suck at poker and the guys are all gonna watch the game. =P

Liked Goong so far but then I only watched the first episode. Maybe I’ll watch some more episodes now since the kids and Al are out watching the New Year’s Parade in Chinatown.

Went out with Mary, Karen and Mary Anne last night to Caffe Panini on PCH – was pretty good. I got filet mignon shish kebob with grilled veggies, salad and basmati rice. Was delicious. They only served wine there so we bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon – it’s not as sweet as Pinot Grigio and was pretty awesome and not as dry as Pinot Grigio can be at times. I’m gonna order that next time I order white wine. Then we were all set to go home (we carpooled) and Karen’s car wouldn’t start :/ So I called Al to come and jump start the car. Think her battery is dying. =P
