dream dinners and asian garden mall…

I went to Dream dinners with Cathy, Tiffany, Leah and Windy on Saturday. The idea behind it is to have the place do all the prep work and clean up and all you have to do is assemble and bring home. We bought 12 dinners each and they give you about 2+ hours to do it. I hate cooking so this seemed like a no brainer. Invest two hours and just put together the ingredients, freeze and defrost when you need dinner. Man it was exhausting. The girls all made fun of me lol because I was such a spaz with the ingredients. I kept spilling stuff everywhere. I’m sure the workers there hated me =P. It was cause they had this glass thing overhanging from the shelf and I kept hitting it by accident everytime I measured something so whatever I measured kept flying everywhere ^^;;; I was kind of a disaster waiting to happen. Leah was worse than me – she doesn’t even know what saute means so… ha. At least I know what that means lol. We signed up again next month but this time I got smarter. Instead of making 12 different dinners, I’m doubling up on some so that I don’t have to think too much. We’re gonna meet for lunch beforehand next time. Maybe I won’t be so exhausted next time lol.
Sunday we went to dim sum in Westminster. I’ve never been to Westminster before. We went to what’s called “Little Saigon”. We had dim sum at a place called Seafood Paradise (english name) [Seafood House in chinese - apparently paradise in chinese is associated with death so bad feng shui], 8602 Westminster Blvd. Wasn’t too bad but China Garden does dim sum much better. Afterwards we went to Asian Garden Mall. It was like a mall out of Thailand even though it was mainly Vietnamese. I’ve never been to Vietnam so I can’t say if malls are like that but I’ve seen this type of mall in Bangkok. Was pretty cool. Next time we go, I want to have Vietnamese food.
