I had a lot of fun tonite. Went to Katie’s house, prepped food, ate delicous dessert and then we drank margaritas and sat around in the hot tub. Lorena, Barbara, Windy, Tiffany, Zen, Jeannette, and Allison were there. It was great getting to know these women. They’ve all lived such varied and interesting lives. It really opened my eyes. I’ve always thought I was open minded and pretty worldly in terms of people but it just goes to show that there are always going to be things that surprise you about people. Really, it was truly cool.

Last nite was book club nite at the Elephant Bar. We talked about “The Kite Runner” – which really rocked. Windy, Cathy, Julie, Jennifer and Odette were there. I chose “Teacher Man” by Frank McCourt for next month – a teacher from my old hs (Stuyvesant) wrote the book and it just so happens he talks about our hs in it so of course I’m a bit interested. Hope it turns out well.

On that note, Al and I are going to take a motorcycle class and get a license to drive a motorcycle (assuming we like the class) then buy a motorcycle. Hope we don’t end up killing ourselves lol…
