Dr. Vu took an impression for my crown. Oh joy, it’s coming in two weeks.

C also had swim class and practiced butterfly, breast stroke and dolphin with Jamie. I bumped into P there and we chatted about fertility treatments. She’s presently trying to get pregnant with a second one. Hope it works out for her.

Parent teacher conference: “Do you dip C in chocolate every night?” was the first question. “How else do you get him to be so sweet?” The rest of the conference was pretty much raves about C and his popularity with everyone, how ready he was for kindergarten and how smart he was. Do teachers ever say anything bad about kids I wonder? They never really said anything bad about B either other than that he had bad penmanship. Not that I want to hear anything bad but some part of me wonders if they just try to keep parents off their backs by never saying anything meaningful.

She also mentioned that the girls love him. When he decides one of them is too mean to play with anymore,  he goes to play with a boy, and the girls run after him for his forgiveness. Too cute. She said they love his gentleness. The girls also loved B’s gentleness when he was that age. Too bad they lose it when they get older (

Then she mentioned that him and Grant were proud of the fact that they didn’t have to “sit and pee” the way girls do. LOL, kids really focus on the weird things.

B is really cute. He has a crush on this girl Catherine in his class. He mentions her at least once a day to me in some kind of context. Today, he mentioned her favorite color (blue I think?) The other day he asked me if more girls have crushes on boys or do boys have more crushes on girls. Cute but scary. 8 year old already thinking about girls – yikes, I don’t think I’m ready for this.
