It’s just a Cariboo day…

It was a pretty relaxing day today. C went to his Yamaha music class this morning and then they went to get haircuts with Patrick. It still boggles the mind that young kids today have their own hair stylists. What happened to the days of old where cutting the hair of your own kids was the norm? Anyway, went with my boy band of three and hubby to the park. B rode his bike there. C did not since he isn’t all that great at stopping and starting. He’s 4 so we take it pretty easy on him in terms of bike riding. Once we got there though, he was a fierce bike rider. Hope he nails the stop and start soon – once he does, we can all go bike riding together.
We also played a little hoops, fooled around on the swings and played catch. It was fun. Came home and hubby made some killer pea sprouts. I’ll post the recipe tomorrow. It was delish!!
Then the kids indulged me in my new resolution to play more board games. We play way too many video/computer games. I managed to locate Cranium Cariboo. I think we have quite a few of those Cranium games. Guess people just keep giving it to us as gifts because I really don’t remember ever buying any of these. We have Cariboo, Cadoo (although I don’t know where the board is or the rest of the items that came with it), Hullaboo, and Balloon Lagoon. I’ve never played Cariboo before. Guess that’s why I was disappointed. It was really just a fancy memory game. The kids had fun because they hid their pokemon figures inside of the board and claimed the pokemons if they picked that particular square. I think if you’re 4 and older, it’s already too late and too easy. I suppose one can still have fun with it but it’s over so fast there’s almost no point to it.
I also wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how to get the wp plugin smartarchives working. Still can’t get it to work. Blah. I really want it too.
